A little extra support — and someone to share the day with.

Companionship & Home Support

Support isn't only about tasks. It's about connection, conversation, and feeling genuinely cared for. Our companionship service is designed for people who may feel lonely or isolated, or who simply benefit from a warm, familiar presence — someone to share the ordinary moments that make life feel a little fuller.

Whether it's a cup of tea and a good chat, a gentle walk, or just having someone there — we're here to bring warmth, reassurance and meaning into everyday life.

Our Support Services Includes:

Conversation and connection

Genuine, unhurried visits — chatting, watching TV together, or simply enjoying quiet company.

Emotional reassurance

Regular, familiar visits that provide continuity, stability and a sense of being cared for.

Bringing nature into the home

One of the things that sets our companionship service apart is the gentle, meaningful role plants and flowers play in it. In partnership with Blooms & Candy Flower Studio in Hayes, we weave a little nature into the everyday — because small things can shift a mood, create routine and bring real pride into a home.

Tea & Blooms Social Afternoons

Something a little special — hosted by Blooms & Candy and Ember Vale together

We invite the people we support to join our Tea & Blooms Social Afternoons — relaxed, welcoming gatherings where there's no pressure, no agenda, and plenty of tea and biscuits. Simple flower arranging, gentle plant activities and warm conversation in a space that feels like it belongs to everyone who walks in.

Companionship doesn't just happen at home — it grows through shared experiences.

Small fixes, before they become big worries.

A loose handle, a blown bulb, a minor fitting that's been bothering someone for weeks — small household issues can quietly erode a person's sense of safety and comfort at home. Our friendly in-house handyman service takes care of these things calmly and respectfully, so people can feel at ease where they live.

  • Fixing loose handles, hinges or minor fittings

  • Changing light bulbs and basic home fixtures

  • Small adjustments to improve safety around the home

  • General minor repairs that don't require specialist contractors

Who this service is for

How the Service Works

Simple, personal and built around the individual.

We begin by getting to know the person properly — their preferences, their strengths, their goals and anything we should be mindful of. From there, everything is planned and reviewed with them, not for them.

Even within light-touch support, we maintain the same commitment to safety, transparency and accountability that runs through everything we do at Ember Vale.
