Companionship & Home Support

A Little Extra Support — and Someone to Share the Day With

At Ember Vale, we believe support isn’t just about tasks — it’s about connection, conversation, and feeling cared for.

Our companionship service is designed for individuals who may feel lonely, isolated, or simply need a little extra support to feel comfortable and confident at home.

Whether it’s sharing a cup of tea, going for a gentle walk, or having someone to talk to — we’re here to bring warmth, reassurance, and meaningful moments into everyday life.

Our Support Services Includes:

Companionship That Feels Natural
We focus on the simple things that make a real difference:

* Friendly visits filled with conversation and genuine connection
* Spending time together — chatting, watching TV, or enjoying quiet moments
* Going out for fresh air, gentle walks, or local outings
* Accompanying to social activities such as bingo nights or local adult day centres
* Supporting emotional wellbeing through regular, familiar visits

Because sometimes, just having someone there can make all the difference.

Gentle Help Around the Home
We provide light, respectful support to help make daily life easier and more manageable:

* Light tidying and keeping the home comfortable
* Preparing simple, home-style meals together
* Help with shopping and everyday errands
* Collecting prescriptions or picking up medication
* Accompanying to GP or other appointments
* Encouraging outings — from a short walk to a trip to the shops or community activities

We’re there to make everyday tasks feel easier, safer, and a little more enjoyable — always at a calm and unhurried pace.

Light Home Repairs & Handyman Support
We understand that small household issues can quickly become stressful or unsafe if left unresolved.

Our in-house friendly handyman service is available to support with light home repairs, helping maintain a safe and comfortable living environment.

This may include:
* Fixing loose handles, hinges, or minor fittings
* Changing light bulbs or basic home fixtures
* Small adjustments around the home to improve safety
* General minor repairs that don’t require specialist contractors

All support is carried out with care and respect, ensuring individuals feel comfortable and at ease in their own home.

Bringing Nature Into the Home
A unique part of our service is the gentle introduction of plants, flowers, and nature into everyday life.

In partnership with Blooms & Candy Flower Studio based in Hayes, we incorporate:

* Caring for houseplants to keep them healthy and thriving
* Occasionally bringing fresh seasonal flowers or a small plant
* Sharing simple, easy-to-follow plant care tips
* Creating a calming “plant corner” to enjoy at home

These small touches can lift mood, create routine, and bring a sense of peace and pride into the home.

Something Special...

Tea & Blooms Social Afternoons

We invite those we support to join our Tea & Blooms Social Afternoons — relaxed and welcoming gatherings hosted by the Blooms & Candy team together with Ember Vale Companionship & Home Support.

These sessions offer:

* A chance to meet others and feel part of a community
* Simple flower arranging or plant activities
* A warm, friendly space with tea, biscuits, conversation, and connection

Because companionship doesn’t just happen at home — it grows through shared experiences.
