A home that feels like yours — with support close by when you need it.

Where you live shapes how you live. At Ember Vale, our homes are warm, well-maintained and designed to help adults aged 18+ build genuine independence — in an environment that feels safe, respected and their own.

What makes our homes different

Built around the people who live in them

We work alongside residents to develop daily living skills, confidence in managing a home, personal routines that support wellbeing, and meaningful connections with the wider community.

Appropriate staffing

Trained, consistent support workers — there when needed, stepping back when not.

Every Ember Vale home is staffed by trained, compassionate support workers who understand the people they work with. Our team is consistent — because familiarity builds trust, and trust is what makes progress possible.

The spaces themselves

Private space. Shared life.

Shared communal areas

Welcoming lounges, kitchens and living spaces where residents can relax, socialise and build connections with peers and staff naturally.

Private bedrooms

Every resident has their own fully furnished room — a personal space for rest, privacy and self-expression that is entirely theirs.

This balance — private space to retreat to, shared space to grow in — reflects the semi-independent model at the heart of what we offer. Residents have room to live independently while knowing structured support is always accessible.

Our homes balance personal privacy with the natural rhythm of community living.

Safety, quality and CQC alignment

Holding ourselves to the highest standard

Safety and quality aren't aspirations at Ember Vale — they're built into how our homes operate. We are actively developing our governance, policies and procedures to align with recognised supported living standards, including those expected by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

We are currently progressing through CQC registration — a step we are taking seriously and with care, because the people who live in our homes deserve nothing less.

Location and community

Not just a house — a place in the world.

We choose homes in residential neighbourhoods on purpose. Being part of a real community — with local shops, transport, green spaces and social opportunities nearby — is essential to the kind of independent life we support people to build.

Within the community, not apart from it

Support that's isolated isn't really support — it's containment. Our homes are embedded in local life, so residents can access services, join community groups, build friendships and feel like they genuinely belong where they live.

  • Easy access to local services, shops and transport

  • Links to community groups and activities

  • Opportunities to build friendships and social networks

  • A sense of place and belonging beyond the front door
